Anand looks to win this rematch in regulation or take it in overtime.
The old(er) tiger still has teeth!
Good news. Anand the most gentle man ex-chess champion deserves it. Whatever the result he should get his chance to try once more after the good performance he showed in the candidates tournament. Best of luck Anand.
It's still not clear to me exactly what this standoff was about, or who "won" in the end. What were Carlsen's concrete objections, what were his demands for the contract, and which of those demands were met by FIDE?
[DM: His requests/objections were discussed on numerous sites, including this one (objected to the smaller prize fund, the possible moral iffiness of the money's source, worries about whether Sochi would be safe, etc.), and as far as I know none of the concerns were met or really even addressed by FIDE.]
