Pavel Eljanov led at the start of the round, and for his fourth straight game the player with Black was the winner. Unfortunately for Eljanov, he had White today, and now he's in a four-way tie for first with Leko, Jakovenko, and Gashimov, all of whom drew. They have 4.5 out of 8, half a point ahead of seven other players: Ponomariov, Inarkiev, Mamedyarov, Radjabov, Gelfand, Alekseev and Wang Yue. Ivanchuk and Svidler are only a further half a point behind at 3.5, and Akopian - who won a very nice (but extremely long) game today - brings up the rear with 3. Everyone is still in it!

Today's results:

Jakovenko - Leko 1/2-1/2

Gashimov - Wang Yue 1/2-1/2

Eljanov - Ponomariov 0-1

Mamedyarov - Alekseev 1-0

Gelfand - Radjabov 1/2-1/2

Svidler - Ivanchuk 1/2-1/2

Akopian - Inarkiev 1-0
